Our Chapter Website

Our chapter website is http://washingtonchapter.ford-trucks.net/

Our Chapter Email is washingtonchapter@ford-trucks.net

I have just started looking at how it has been set up, and formulating ideas. I do still need feedback from ya'll on what content we want in the site.

Right now I am just working on the 'index' page, with links to the forum and map. Things will wor quicker, when I get your ideas...I may be the CL, but it is our chapter!

Mike

I think we could have a general pic page, just a page with people pics on it. maybe one for the rides too. We need to get our logo on the main page too maybe as a back ground. Can you hook sounds to all of the link buttons. I want to here MY V10 starting when you click a link or a horn honking ect...

Need your suggestions!

That'll be a good site! You already linked our Frappr, forum and store bling...BrentLee's chapter logo will look great on the opening page then photos of everyone and their gear, depending on the image rules and server backup load

A link to the Ford FTE articles page? if it won't already be included in the "Menu" or "Links" dropdowns.

Link to a good Interactiveroadmap of Washington State, like this one http://www.bentler.us/washington-sta...maptype=normal

How about a page where we dissect oneminizut...an arm here, a personality there...bake at 350 till tender...
John where are ya?

Thanks for the feedback Rex...That's what I am looking for. I could just make the site, but want it to be a chapter site that reflects the members.

Thumbs up More Feed Back Please

I have a three day weekend, and have started more work on the chapter website, but would like more feedback from everyone.

Rex gave a couple of ideas which sound great, but could use more thoughts.

My thought on including the logo is to have just a pic of the logo when a person comes to the site, with a 3 second re direct to the home page.

I also think a tech link and FAQ page would be great. Also a helpful tips page.

Once again would like some feedback.

Thanks,

Mike

p.s. You may not see the changes right away...I am working on the site with Frontpage 2006, and waiting until I have a reasonably good looking base site, before I make the changes on the actual website.

How about current events in Washington and stuff like that? all the G2G information. and that kind of stuff. Maybe we can have chapter members write articles about information that they know, like stereo installs in custom things like older trucks, great tune up tips, ways to save gas? i think that'd be pretty cool on the site, and maybe just pictures of chapter members and their trucks or whatever else.

IMG Map

What does everyone think about doing an img map of the state by county on the home page? I can use the same map that I used as the background for the directory...As you mouse over each county, I can make a link or drop down that shows each member in the county.

It will take a little time, but I think it will be a great way of having a chapter directory!

I went and looked at that url just yesterday. and there was nothing there.

Poof today you put something up, and it looks like a great layout.

And like you said the map with the county menus i think would be a good idea.
If you have that kind of time that is

Dave

Thumbs up Partially done

If ya'll want to check out the website, you should be able to get an idea of where I am going with it.

I have been working on it with my editor, and it is starting to take form. I did upload some to the actuall site, but there is a very big lag, which is a bit frustrating. However, all the bugs and pages will eventually be worked out.

I have found that it is very similiar to dealing with Geocities, which is a bit of a pain, but what the heck...It is a Free Webhost.

We will have the best Chapter Site in FTE!!!!

Eventually I want to make it a chapter gallery with people having the option of creating their own.
