Yesterday found a big oil stian under my driver side rear wheel. Climbed under and found shock leaking lots of oil. Never had this happen befor. Truck has only 7K and hardly ever has anything in the bed. Called for appt. at dealer service and will take it in Tues. after work. Should they change both rear shocks under warranty or just the one ? Anyone else know of this problem ?
You can spend the $100 or so to get 2 good shocks and install them yourself, or let the warranty cover it and then replace them again at the 50,000 mark or so...
I'd get some good Rancho shocks myself. the 5000's are pretty good
Same thing here. I just took truck in and they found the right front shock leaking. They were quite shocked, as was I, and they replaced it for free since it was still under warranty.
When I took the truck to the dealer Tuesday they saw that it was indeeed leaking. They informed me that they don't stock replacements so they are ordering 2 so that both rear ones will be replaced when they come in.
