dash lights not working

Hey everyone, does anyone have any suggestions as to why my dash light would not be working all the sudden. It is not the dimmer switch. I have replaced the two small bulbs up underneath the dash, but no luck. However, the turn signal arrows work and light up just fine.

Fuse would be the first thing to check. The instrument lights have their own fuse. Do any of the other dash lights work, like for the heater controls?

no they do not, however, they (heater controls) have been out for some time longer than the dash lights. I have checked the fuse and it is good.

The wire that runs to every instrument light is a blue/red. I would pull the headlight switch back out, and check this wire to see if it has voltage when the headlights are on. If it does, then I would pull the cluster and see if the blue/red has voltage there. If it does, I would check the ground to the cluster, and some of the bulb sockets.
