My Bronco's speedometer and the RPM and gas gauge do not work... does anyone know an easy way to fix this? Is it a known problem?
Are aftermarket gauges hard to install?
Check all your fuses to see if any are blown. If this is not the case and easy fix is just to go to salvage yard and get the "guts" of the dash out of another bronco or pickup. Not very hard to do at all.
Slow down there! The fuses for the dash can be good and the gauges still not work if the voltage regulator for the gauges is bad. Before spending all that $$$$$$ at the junkyard, check out the regulator!!!!!!!
I haven't heard of a voltage regulator for the gages but that don't mean there's not one. I just bought a 1991 and my fuel gauge stays on emty if the truck is running and drifts up to about a quarter if the ignition is off. Also the oil pressure gauge comes up to about a quarter of the scale when it's running and stays there regardless of engine rpm or engine temp. Don't know if the two are related but I guess if there is a regulator somewhere it could cause these kinds of problems.
