Monsta-i have heard and read conflicting reports on that,
So have I. In fact, read this quote from Chevron's website.
", Chevron's Supreme grade receives an even higher dose of Techron, which can clean up dirty carburetors, fuel injectors and intake valves even faster than the Regular or Plus grades. This attribute can be important for consumers who occasionally purchase a lower quality gasoline or who own a vehicle that is particularly sensitive to deposits."
So may be I was thinking of their old stuff "Techroline". Who knows... Guess I WON'T be saying what I said before again! Thanks for causing me to dig further to back up my statements.
I got my beginning in that when I had a new Bike that kept fouling plugs every couple tanks. Trailered it to a shop and the owner said he would not work on the bike until I ran 4 tanks of Amoco Gold through it. I thought that was odd but listened. Ran the tanks and changed the plugs and went back after about 8-10 tanks and tried to tip the guy $50 for the help but he just sold me stuff instead of taking my money. Ever since that I run only amoco gold in my bikes and add some to each vehicle on occasion. Every now and again I hear differently, but using it makes me feel better, and peace of mind is worth it. I have never had any issues motor wise since this which was 1995. Something to be said for that maybe.
