Original part numbers:
C1TZ-8120530-A .. Right Door Weatherstrip
C1TZ-8120531-A .. Left Door Weatherstrip
Some of the after market weatherstrips are made in China, are too fat, or too long. Dennis Carpenter makes the w/strips from the original molds. The weatherstrips will always be a bit larger than what comes off, because the old ones will flatten out over time. What you describe tho, is poor quality w/strips. lmc is not a FTE sponsor.
Amazing. I Just Finished Struggling With Replacing The Drivers Side Weatherstripping On My 63, Using Lmc Truck. And I Had The Same Problems You Did. I Ended Up Taking The Door Off The Hinges, And Used Small Sheet Metal Screws To Attach. Then I Trimmed A Little Off The Front Section, By The Curve Near The Window, Where It Was Squeezing The Most, And That Helped. Good Luck.
