It's slow going though. I thought more people would be interested
Really? Not to be a downer, but I'm not surprised at all.
There is an annual event held for all Lightning owners in Kansas, about as central as can be for all Lightning owners.
The whole weekends festivities center around drag racing, with weekend long events planned to keep everyone happy. The annual event is held by a national UBB type forum, and is usually attended by the major Lightning vendors and supporters. It's even received major magazine coverage from Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, as well as the new magazine, Ford Performance Trucks.
With all of that, you'd think the event would be overflowing with Lightning owners, with the track busting at the seams with hundreds of trucks, right? Unfortunately not. It's so poorly attended, the people who put it on never commit to another year until after a few months after the event is over.
Western, would you rather drive down to Florida where they're more mild mannered?
I don't think I'd fit well with Florida -- to hot. You got anywheres it rains 50% of the time; the temp doesn't exceed 24C and people beleive anything (including big rigs) can be raced? I'd fit in there really good!!
