I havin a hard time findin parts for my old 84 f150xlt.Everything i ask for at parts store or dealer they tell me is not made anymore, been lookin on e-bay now for 3 months for a heater control with both a\c and duel tank switch, and have been lookin for an orginal am\fm radio for twice that long, even salvage yards here no help as they dont have em that old.Where do you folks find that kinda stuff, had truck since 84 and kinda like to keep it a while longer,Help!Paul
I know how you feel. It can be frustrating. Coming here is a good start, maybe somebody has what you're looking for. Maybe try putting a want ad in the classifieds here. Sometimes I can get lucky at the junkyard but most of the time not.

E4TZ-19980-G .. A/C Heater Control Panel ~ With Aux Tanks
The panel is obsolete from Ford, and I checked FTE sponsor Green Sales, they don't have one either, but the news isn't all bad. Guess why?
The AM/FM radio you want is the exact same one that is used in 1980/87 Crown Vics, Mercury Grand Marquis and Escorts, and other Fords from the time period (E4AZ-18806-B). The radio chassis, *****, the whole tamale..identical to the ones the trucks use. If you can find one with a cassette, that'll work also. If the radio fits those cars, it'll fit your truck. Shouldn't be too hard to find one of those.
Now answer a question from me...Is Barnesville Hardware at 116 Main Street still in business? That store had tons of old kerosene lamp parts, even some NOS Studebaker wagon parts...a treasure trove.
