1994 E4od Fluid Level/Flashing Light
Hey Guys, can you help me on this one. My tranny has begun to go into fault mode after driving for a few miles. The O/D light flashes and it shifts hard and will not lock the T/C. As I continue to drive it goes back to normal within a few minutes. I live on a island and have not been able to get to a shop to pull a code. I checked my fuild and it is clear to the top of the measuring portion and even slightly onto the wire. My question is if anybody thinks this might be causing the problem. What would be the easiest way to lower the level? The truck is a 1994 with factory turbo and 100k miles. Thanks for the help. Joe

Does the tach and speedo work flawlessly.... limp mode is second and reverse only. Do not drive it this way or a new trans is on your Mother's day list.
