FPR SHIM question

So how do I measure fuel pressure to see if this mod would be a good thing for my '96. I've got some BB's in my pocket;-)

take a tire pressure gauge and apply it to the schrader valve on the right hand side of your fuel bowl. It should have a valve stem cap on it thats black plastic. Spin that off, start up the truck and check the pressure, but beware that fuel will be spraying out of thatt valve while your checking the pressure so whatchthe eyes my friend. Should read around 55-65psi. Good luck

I got about 60 psi before the shim and 85 psi after. I also cleaned the gunk off the screen. Didn't notice too much difference till I got to about 2500 rpm then it seemed to help a bit.

Be extra careful with that 85psi. FPR dosnt like fuel pressures that high. I blew mine apart that high. had to mod my new one to hold 90-95psi. Good luck

You can leave it but i know i lost my first assembly at 87psi. Thats why I dont like the BB mod. I prefer the 19/42 bolt and washer setup better. Gives you more adjustment abilities. I cannot disclose any information regarding my custom Rabbit Mfg. FPR and fuel bolw modifications, Sorry but i gotta have some secrets.

Why would you post a liability disclaimer? I'm a big boy now and fully understand and accept the consequences of my own actions. I appreciate the feedback you've given thus far and I think this is a great source of information. I am running biodiesel at times and thought this would be a simple way to deal with a slightly more viscous fuel at cooler temps
