Tekonsha Rebate!!

Tekonsha is offering a $20 rebate by mail on their Primus and Prodigy brake controllers. The rebate is good thru August 25, 2007. They have a link on their site for the rebate form.

And "Thank You" from me, as well. My current Prodigy controller is numbered less than 74,000 and has the "old" programming (getting OG code a lot).

This might be the reason I was looking for to upgrade to the new software.

What's the difference between a Primus and the Prodigy? Is there an application difference, i.e. Primus for 5er's and Prodigy for travel trailers?

I wouldn't think there should be, could be a limitation based on # of axles ? My old Tekonsha works great on both tag alongs and 5ers with one or two axles. They use similar electric brake setups; no big difference for a 5er. There are some units that will handle more axles.

Looks like the only difference is that Prodigy can handle one more axle (1-4) and costs a little more.

Thanks for the info, guys. I'll have to do some research before I decide which one to buy.
