I have a 79 super cab. When I removed the door striker bolt, I can't get the washer off so I can install the plastic "anti-rattle" bushing. Please help!
I had the same problem. I ended up replacing the whole thing at which time the washer on the new one grenaded itself into bits when I tried to tighten it down. Now, it has a large fender washer in place which works fine for me. The replacement style washer is threaded and does come off. I couldn't get the original washer off to save my butt though.
Fits all: 1973/79 Econolines, 1973/79 F Series and all passenger cars 1972 thru 1982. They are the same for right and left and are STILL available from Ford. FTE Sponsor y2kfordparts has them in stock, the discount price is around $16.00.

The actual striker when purchased new, comes with the bushing and washer, but without the bracket, and are the same left and right. See above post for part number and availability.
