While driving my '91 Explorer in town yesterday the Climate Control Panel completely quit working. No air conditioning, no heater, no outside air flow at all. All or in part, the fan blower would blow out nothing.
I thought maybe a fuse blowed and intended to check that out when I got home. I tried it about 3-4 times in an hour after it happened but nothing. It was pretty hot outside and when I stopped for a red light about 1 1/2 hours later I tried it again...and it started working. On the drive home it worked all the way with the air conditioning. Off/On half a dozen times and it seems okay now.
Could this be anything other than a loose connection? And any idea where would be a good place to check?
No unusual noise from the blower, sounds just fine. That's why I think it must be a loose connection somewhere. Had this '91 for about 1 yr. now and this is the first time that has happened. Could find nothing else not working when it quit, checked all my lights right away.
