Fog lamp replacement
Noticed this morning that my left fog lamp is out.
Are there any after market lamps that are better for these or should I just go with stockers?
Has anyone had to replace theirs and if you did what did you use?

I used Sylvania Silverstars in mine and love them!! They are stock wattage but have a brighter and whiter light.

I have Silver Stars in my headlights. I will look for the fog lamps.
Thanks!

Another thing I found was they are a lot easier to replace if you take the grill off. 4 screws on the top and a few clips on the bottom and you can just reach straight down to them. It might be because I have a front license plate bracket because it is required in the great state of Washington.

Mine are super easy to get to. I have an aftermarket cow killer bumper and the lights are recessed into that.

I cannot find a bulb number. Every site just says 55 watt.

9145st for the foglight bulb for silverstars. The 9005's are a 55w and will melt the harness for the foglights. 9145st are 45w

Now would be a good time to upgrade your harness so you can run the bigger bulbs. I think Pure Diesel Power sells an upgraded harness. Or you could do like I did and just make your own heavy duty harness that pulls power from the batteries.
