alrite i posted a few days ago bout oil in my valley pan well i noticed that its right below the turbo and it drains out below my truck im wondering where you guys can point me to to get my turbo pedistal o-rings and possibly some instructions on how to do it thanks again
look on flebay, or the sponsors, and this might be you pedestal leaking, EBPV its a common problem , and look http://www.7point3.com/mods.aspx
you find a lot of good info there, just follow turbo removal,
Yes, the turbo does have to come completely off to replace the o-rings. It's not a hard job. Probably took me 1.5 hours the first time I did it. Now, I can have it out in just under 45 minutes. I would also suggest replacing the o-rings between the pedistal and the engine. Once the turbo is out, you've got access and it's only 4 bolts to remove the pedistal too. The same o-rings are used under the pedistal as used between it and the turbo. So, if you do the pedistal you'll need a total of 4 o-rings, or two of ITP's set.
