Yesterday the truck cranked fine but would not start. Before cranking heard fuel pump, and wts worked, no start as if no fuel. It was sitting at an angle with the front up a little hill. It has been raining alot past few days. I popped the hood and wiggled the CPS plug and rolled the pickup back a little levelar. The truck then cranked right up and seems to be normal. Could it be the CPS going bad or was there a possible air bubble in the line from the quick connect. Wandering if I nee do something before it happens again and leaves me stranded.
it might be air in fuel, and might be bad cps,
what was the amount of fuel in the tank?less than 1/4, might be the quick connect socking air,
fill er up and park your truck the same way again, and see if it starts or not, than make sure you dont have water leaking anywhere inside, magt cause no start issue, you might have bad connection on cps too, so you going to have game of trying to pinpoint your problem,
if its a fuel problem get the in tank mood done asap, cause air in fuel is never good,
check the lever on you fuel bowl, if it wont start again, crank it open and see if fuel will drain at the bottom,
Thanks for the quick reply, I was wandering if the plug to the cps was letting moisture in and not making good contact. Is there a post some where that gives easy directions to cps install. If I can get one for 25-30 bucks it would be worth it to replace and keep other for back up.
