DFA Crackle Cure kit
I'm currently doing a non-fuel related mod ,but once its finished I will be ordering the Cackle-cure kit! After helping put one in and hearing all the positive feedback, it comes across as a must have.

Bottom line... it works.
You say that you've read the "write up". Which write up are you talking about? My installation notes and evaluation report is located on the 7point3 page (link in my signature below), if that's not the write up you're talking about. Document title is Cackle Cure Kit - Test Results (Large File).
Feel free to email me with any questions.

I have to do it outside due to the current accomodation style. We have covered parking so that helps little bit and if I wake up early enough in the morning before it hits the "3 digits" to the termometer
Have to buy some light beer tomorrow as for the installation liquid and to avoid dehydration

I could of course put the camping grill aside and have a barbeque at the same time
Still I would like to see the engine running the same day though
I'll chime in too, as one of the test dummies. I had already done the in-tank mods and didn't expect to really notice a huge difference with the cackle cure. I was more concerned about injector longevity. My truck was pretty smooth before I did the kit.
The install is pretty easy, I did it by myself, it would have helped to have another set of hands. The quality of the materials are excellent and I have had no leaks or problems since install.
As far as results..... I am very happy I did the kit. It seemed to settle down and quiet my idle even more than it was. At low RPMs the engine is noticably quieter. I believe from my SOP analysis it did help the sound from my #8 injector. The mileage is still being determined as the only trip I have taken since install was so windy and I had my camper on and it was killing me. Even at that I averaged over 11MPG. I'm towing my boat over Memorial weekend, so I'll see how that goes. But YES, do the kit and do the in-tank mods. It makes a huge difference.

So if this get's higher mpg's, I'm more than happy for the results.
I'm sure the engine has air issues, due to the rattling and cackling. It goes great, burns rubber easily, steady idling, starts when just you show the key, smokes little when you hit the pedal (110+ setting) but noisy as hell (ok it is diesel).
0-60 7+ sec, but when it hits 3000-3200rpm it starts to make weird sound, like loosing the power, it still goes, but maybe it's defueling?
Turbo whines nice, but when you really hit the gas and it gets 2nd and 3rd gear it woooshes the wastegate open and like caughing little bit before it jumps to 4th and then you start to have the real action.
But then it is already too much for the city, over 60mph. It is maybe the superchip too, it is like driving F1
around, things start to happen when you are over 60mph?? There you can feel the power the turbo really throws in. I'd like more to see this huge power in the lower speed, so maybe DP could help making the "city cruising" tuning? You know, shifting faster to high gears. Because the truck can easily tow a train with this power. It is like you don't need the first 2 gears at all execpt when to tow the train etc.
