I have a 1985 Bronco! I love it to death and wouldn't trade it for anything. I was riding down the road, came to a stop light and when the light turned green i hit the gas and my 351 started jumping RPM's, the truck idels fine but when its in gear and I try to go down the road it does the same thing. I have tryed the fuel filter (it has a Holley 4180) the carb is brand new. I replaced it with a referbed stock carb. I replaced the fuel pump and thats not it. Adjusted the floats and thats not it. Does anyone else have any ideas??????
What exactly do you mean by "jumping rpms?" Does it sputter when you accelerate from a stop? Also what tranny do you have?? Manual or Automatic?? Does it do it if you rev it up in neutral or if you gently accelerate? Have you done a quick visual inspection of the cap/rotor, wires and plugs?
