Hey I think I was reading on this board a while back about a temporary fix for a rear weatherstrip. Anyone remember anything about that or have any good ideas?
Are you refering to the weatherstrip at the top of the door (inside piece or outside piece?) or the weatherstrip attached to the top? All pieces are available @ Jeff's Bronco Graveyard.
The one I am really trying to fix is the lower one outside on the back window.
I know they are available at the bronco graveyard and from a ford dealership but those are both rather pricey options. I was hoping for something more temporary and inexpensive.
I remember reading somewhere about a concoction(sp?) that you can apply over the strip....
I would suppose that you could remove the strip and cover it with weatherproof tape. There is a waterproof duct tape that will probably hold up well for you. Be careful if you remove the strip that the metal tabs don't break off. I would be more inclined to install the tape with the strip still attached to the tailgate. GOOD LUCK!
