Piped up the backflow valves and the pedal is much improved. It is still not quite as firm as the stock setup, but the pedal effort is reduced enough that I am happy enough with it.
Note to those with toysteer: I had a slight interference between bolt heads on the GM calipers on my 5 x 5-1/2 disc rotor conversion and the tie rod ends, enough to seriously reduce steering travel. The turning circle was huge!
A slight touch with the grinder to the bolt heads opened up clearance.
