I don't know any place that sells exact replacement tanks for panel trucks. I bought a generic truck tank from a guy on eBay a few years back that I was able to make to fit in the original stock location. I had to mover the filler tube and sending unit and make new mounting brackets. This tank also holds about 50% more fuel.
I contacted the seller the other day because another panel truck owner who was looking for a replacement tank wanted to know if I knew some place to buy a tank. The guy still has some tanks left. I bought my for around $45 plus shipping. If you're interested email me and I'll give you his email.
I also found this place on the net with a similiar tank for $250:
Thanks for the email. I sure could use the extra capacity as I drive about 125 miles a day in support of my real estate business. With the amount of rake that I have, about all the gas I can squeeze into the present tank is 12 gallons. My mileage isn't anything to write home about, around 12 around town so it means a fill up almost every day.
Ther is a funny car fabricator here in Pensacola that I might talk to about building a tank similar to the one you showed on your frame. Thanks.
