Making some progress

Well I've been making some progress on the 53. Last week I got the bed off. The other day I got the running boards off after breaking four bolts, had to grind one off, but one did actually come out easily. Today I got the gas tank out and found that the entire top of it was gone from rust. I wonder if a previous owner was smelling any gas fumes. Also, Saturday my title came in the mail sothe truck is offically mine. I also ordered a few parts, one of the items was on backorder so I'm waiting for it to show up before it gets sent to me. I also ordered parts for my 66 mustang and their on back order too, I guess that's just my luck. At least I can continue to tear down the 53. I should be off next weekend so maybe I can play some more. JT

Sweet sounds like you made some good progress which is always nice if you get the chance add some pictures for us congrats and keep working hard
