Where did you buy your DP chip?

So I was looking (make that drooling) on where to buy one of JT's chips. I wrote him concering my truck and he answered me with a good recommendation. I started the shopping process and found that you can get a DP chip from Beans for quite a bit less than if you were to buy direct from JT.
So you all that have one of Jody's chips: where did you buy yours? Thanks all for the info.

Kwik, are those Beans prices including the multi-position switch? If so then the 3 position I want is $15 cheaper at Beans.

I didn't think of the switch. Hahaha, that would make a difference. I'll check it out.

www.beansdieselperformance.com

Also Jody sells his switch separately for an extra $35.00 so I'm assuming that Beans sells it separate as well.

If Bean sells his with a switch then that would be a deal. Let us know if you find out about that kwik.

I've email Bean and don't expect a reply for a couple of days as it is Sunday today. I'll post the answer when he replies.

Kwik, I'm doing the same thing (Selling Predator, going DP-tuner) However I'm only going with a four pos chip to save money (stock, 40, 80, 100). Don't really need the others

Kwik one thing about buying straight from Jody you can get a more vehicle specific tunes. I have a 6 pos with 6 tunes, no stock or high idle. Your cold start high idle and ebpv will still work with you chip. You might want to call and tell him what you have and get some ideas.

Kwik,
I bought my chip directly from JT after speaking with him about my specific truck. I got stock, 40, 80, and 120hp settings and paid $330 including switch. I couldn't really dicipher the exact price difference from the link you posted but that's what I paid. I think that's pretty reasonable for the incredible performance I got.

I emailed him and he sent this reply:

Dan,

I think that you would be better off with hi-idle, 40 tow, 60 tow, 80econo, & 120 race. I don't think that you really need to 20hp tow for that ammount of weigh and the 140 would probably be too much.

I really do not see a need for custom tunes with you mods and what you are looking to use the truck for.

Jody

And I think I will simply be buying from him directly when I get the money set aside. That will take a few weeks of saving the extra money here and there. (No credit card policy.)
It WILL be happening before this May, I'm going on vacation to the 4 Corners area and I want that chip installed before I leave.
