does anyone know if the chrome style badges i have seen are modified stock badges or if there is a company that sells them? They look just like the stock badges without any paint on the they just look chrome.

Use acetone on your badges that are on the truck now. they are chromed underneath the paint. Q-tips work well, tape off area around badge on truck and just wipe off. Or remove badges and get some 3-M body molding tape tape and reapply

Love the guys selling you something you dont need. Just tape everything off with blue painters tape, using a toothbrush and a q-tip and REAL acetone (not fingernail polish remover), clean, wipe, clean, wipe, clean, wipe... your about done.

Yeah I know what you mean. I sent an email to one of those guys on ebay with the "custom chrome badges" and asked him if he did it the same way.... He didn't email me back. LOL ...

taking the truck to the car wash a few times produces the same results. The paint on mine are almost all gone. They are notorious for doing that.
