Does anyone have a part number for the plastic shift linkage bushing that goes at the end of the steering column? its the the bushing the shift rod pops into. I also would like to know what the part number is for the bolt on the c-6 shift lever that holds the shift rod inplace.

Steering column selector lever (1 bushing), manual control lever on transmission (1 bushing). Where's the bolt?

the bolt comes throuh the manual control lever on the transmisson and attaches the shift rod to the lever
Manual control lever on transmission has an sweated on slightly bent extension on it where the rod from the steering column attaches (as originally equipped). The hole in the extension uses a similar bushing to what the steering column lever uses.
The manual control lever is actually composed of two levers, the outer you can see, and an inner lever that fits through the inside of the outer lever. A nut holds the inner lever in place. There's no bolt anywhere. Every C6 from 1966 uses this exact same setup.
From what you are describing, something mickey mouse has been done.
Illustration reference: 1973/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog: Section A70.2 page 3, shows what I'm refering to. I can't post a pic because I'm using the 1973/79 Ford Parts catalog on microfiche. Mil1ion has the same catalog, but it's on a CD, and he can post a pic. By using the picture reference I posted, you can see the same pic at a Ford dealer parts dept, also.
