Unhappy 302 cam problems

I have just finished installing a Crane Truck Performance cam kit along with shorty headers, a new timing chain, and some new gaskets on my 89 f250 302 5spd. Now the truck wont start, I cant even get it to turn over by hand. I got it to move a very little bit but it made a squeaking noise like something was to tight. please help before i blow this thing up.

Need more info..
What cam? Number or specs.
Did you install it straight up?
Is the distributor sync'd with TDC on #1.

the cam is a crane 363904 260/272 duration with a .456/.484 lift. some one told me to use the + 4 degree timing mark on the crank could that be my problem? the distributer is timed corectly with #1 the mark on the cam gear was straight down towards the mark on the crank. I even tried to take out the spark plugs and turn the motor by hand and it still didn't turn.

Are your rockers pedestal mount or studs? Try backing off all rockers to make sure its not binding in the valve train. Advancing cam +4 should give the motor more tourqe, shouldnt be the problem.

Yes. you should be able to turn the motor over by hand.. with a power bar on the crank. If not something is binding like valves on the pistons or something.
What do you mean by the 4 degree timing mark on the crank? Do you have an adjustable timing set?

My rockers are pedestal mount and I do have an adjustable timing set. I have tried turning the engine over by hand with the distributer out still nothing. I replaced the cam with the motor still in the truck i dont think that i dropped anything into the motor but I did use brake clean to clean up some of the parts do you think some could have gotten past the valves and possibly rusted the cylinders or damaged the bearings in the bottem end?

You do have the tranny in neutral when you're trying to turn it over don't you? Silly question, I know.. but it's something I'd miss after a hard day wrenching.

Stick a 2x4 on the clutch pedal to hold it against the floor......provided the feel of moving the clutch pedal in & out feels OK........tranny might be locked up for some reason.....

There's only so many things that could lock up a motor.
Stuck starter.
Stuck/bent valve contacting piston.
Bent or jambed lifter/pushrod.
Seized piston
Seized bearings.
The last 2 a not likely since this was a running motor before hand. Did you apply the cam breakin lube? Did the rockers torque down per spec? Is it not rotating no matter what direction you try to move it?
