I tried to purchase a set of KMC-XD series rims for the 08 which is on it's way.
The tire shop informed me that FORD changed the bolt pattern on the 08's. They suggested holding off until I have a VIN because the rims may not work.
Is this true?
If it is, why change the bolt pattern after the production has already started?
Depending on build dates, the bolt pattern is different. Can anyone confirm this?
I called FORD but they could not answer the question either, said I needed a VIN.
My truck was built week of 19 February and I swapped on a pair of '07 factory option 20's right away. So until then they were the same. I highly doubt they would change in the middle of a run.

The only reason they need the VIN for is to work out what sort of model it is (Envirocon covered it)
The pitch circle diametre and the number of hub bolts haven't changed.
