'78 F250=Very Happy
Just wanted to follow up on my previous post regarding vacuum leaks on my '78 F250. The 400 motor is now purring like a kitten with all of the vacuum leaks fixed. No more part-throttle surge or pinging on 87 octane. Thanks to all that helped!
I pulled my loaded 24' car trailer for the first time today for a short distance to see how the truck handled it. I must say that I am very impressed. Loaded trailer is probably around 8K lbs. The 400 took hills very well. Lost no speed on most hills and 2-3 mph on the tough ones. Granted we don't have major hills here. But it sure beats my 302.
Couldn't have gotten it running this well without the help here. Thanks!
