anyone here running a sct tuner have problems blowing a h.g? just curious sct seems to be the safest tuner around from what i have read and heard?
The benefit of the SCT is the infinite adjustability of the tuning.
All of our baseline files, from our towing to economy, street and mild race files are 101% safe concerning the head seal/head gaskets. Timing and cylinder pressures are mapped specifically to maintain a lower peak cylinder pressure in order to reduce engine stress; while yet holding that still-safe pressure for a longer period of time, thereby increasing both power and fuel economy.
The only tunes we offer that are marginally unsafe are our Hot Ultra Comp files; which are designed for comeptition use only and only for head-studded trucks. The rest are some of the safest tunes available

Yeah... mine too! Glad I kicked a headgasket out early in the game, and got that (o-ringed gaskets and studs) out of the way!
