I have been hearing big things about sct tuners. Big numbers with little or no problems, is this true?

 

Yes it is. There are a few tuners out there. This site I believe backs one.

 

They claim 420rwhp/790rwtq on a stock 03 6.0l with sct xcal2. How much hp/tq can these trucks handle?

 

If this web site only backs certain products, and does not like to talk about there competitors how can I trust the information I read on this site.

MxRacer32, you may have just started tuner war XXXIII. This website does back certain products, while others are bashed to #$!!. I guess it all depends on what you want. If you want some outrageous HP/TQ and treat your truck like a drag car then I am sure someone on here will chime in on their product. I myself chose a safer route, I purchaced the Banks six-gun bundle and it works flawlessly. My dyno numbers are 379.9 hp and 678.2 tq. My numbers are lower because I have 3:73 gears and 35" tires. If my truck had stock tires the numbers would be bigger. The main reason I bought the banks system was for the safety and security features, don't get me wrong HP and TQ did factor somewhat. I use my truck to tow not race so the highest hp and tq numbers didn't interest me. If you are interested in HP an TQ numbers, be careful because most places (banks included) use the f-350 dually as a test platform because it produces higher numbers because of the lower gear ratio. I was more interested in making sure my truck ran at 300,000 miles. i am sure there will be some people ripping my quote apart, this always happens when you like something else.

 

First of all what MX says is correct SCT is having great success with the 6.0L.
I have a SCT Excal2 with an Innovative diesel custom burn on it. Please do not confuse this tuner with the Superchips tuners. My truck has the Street Tune in it right now and was Dyno'd at 421RWHP and there is 2 higher lvl's yet. I have a 4" Exhaust and Airaid Intake. I can sell you any tuner you want other than the Quadzilla, but not for long. I will tell you all of the major brands of tuners are good products, but if you want alittle something more the Innovative Diesel SCT Excal2 is the way to go. You can have your tourqe converter locked in 4th and 5th gear, EBP valve act as an engine brake, EGR valve disabled, shift point changed, speed limiter is disabled, so on and so on. The SCT is my personal favorite. It won hands down in the Dieselstop.com tuner shootout. When your ready to buy the last tuner your truck will ever need give us a call. drty10, Banks is a great product, and proving to be very safe. INfact its probably one of our biggest sellers. The SCT tuners are having the same fortune. SCT tunes ANY and ONLY Ford trucks and cars! They are totally comited to the Ford consumer.

First of all I want to say this is a great website and I have learned alot from it. I was confused on why some tuner are never talked about. I am currently running superchips 1704 on HP mode full time, It has been very good to me with no problems. I like to race me truck around town, nothing bothers me worst than getting smoked. Another 6.0L blew my doors off even after I did a 4x4 launch!!! I guessing he was running a SCT programmer. I want that power!
