Question about headers

When you buy some headers and they say they have a 3 inch collector thats not the reducer size probably 2 1/2 with reducer correct? I think I am right but I am up late and getting delirious any help? Thanks

the outlet for the headers would be 3" diameter, youd have to get reducers and put them on if you want them

3 inch collector is the size that comes out of the header.You will need a 3 inch pipe to connect to them or you'll need a 3X2&1/2 reducer.

right but the pic shows the reducers with the flange to bolt them up to the headers and they look smaller than the collector size
