rear gate harness

Besides looking for a source for the rear gate harness (for the power window motor and switch) I am also looking for the gate itself, the weatherstripping (complete) and floorpan metal. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Oh yeah, it's a '78!!!

I have an 1988 and have been looking for a tailgate myself. I've a couple responses. The first was auto wreckers online, the second was co-partfinder.com. I've had some fairly expensive replys but its a start good luck. If you run in too anything good drop please let us know.

I have a Tailgate (rusted) w/Glass and guts that I will part out from a 1986 Bronco. The glass is the type for defrost.. but you can scrap that off...

I am in Boston.. let me know..

Been there done that. K-Bar-S had the gates, but no more. JC Whitney had them too, but aprehension comes to mind with that vendor. I found mine in a junk yard in Houston (try www.superpages.com for phone numbers). Also, Denver is probably the largest per capita for Broncos, but most are still on the road. Ford wanted $680 for just the gate sheet metal (no guts), and $400 for the aluminum trim for my 90 model. The complete gate at the junk yard was $400...glass, wires, trim, and all!
Wait until you price Ford rear quarters ($1100 each)...$200 for knock-offs on the web, though.

Tailgate weatherstrip is my current search...a complete no-go at the moment. Here is who I have tried so far, to save you some time:

www.weatherstripspecial.com (no response yet)
www.metrocommp.com (nope, only door gaskets)
www.1aauto.com (no response yet, but referred by Green's)
Green's Obsolete Parts 978-433-9363 (nope)

I'd be happy to hear about anyone's success for the gate weatherstrip.

I have some spare parts from an 89 Bronco XLT. I currently have the tail gate leaning against my garage with everything but the motor. My neighbor has an 80 Bronco who needed the motor. no rust yet that I could find. I currently have a 90 & hopefully I wont need it, but may sell the whole tail gate as is. Most likely a lot less then junk yards.

I'm out in California
Let me know
