Screaming turbo...

Alright, i know everyone has heard those psd's that sound like a jet taking off and the turbo just sreaming... how do i get this 6.4 twin turbo diesel to sound like this? mainly i just want my turbo (turbo's in the 6.4 case) to be screamin....?? What is it that makes the turbo sound like this, i mean im planning on getting the afe intake and mbrp exhaust (still undecided whether im going to get the filter back one or the full exhaust that replaces the filter once its out.) And ive been told that thats all you got to do to make it sound like that... but im not sure if im buying that... any info would be appreciated. thanks

i dont know if the 6.4 will sound the same as a 6.0 did, those are the ones that with a nice big pipe out back would sound like a jet at idle, but i find they sound best on initial start up and after the turbo noise cleans out while accelerating

So removing the muffler will make that turbo whine louder? What else makes it louder?

If you want the whine loud you need to replace EVERYTHING from the turbo back and replace it with a 5-6" exhaust system. The above would be illegal and unwise but you will get more of the sound you want.

I'd also be interested in the MBRP full replacement system for the 08. Anyone know if the system is out yet?

i've only heard that they will be releasing it and it will be for "off-road" use to cover themselves on the legal issues and so fourth. as far as i know i dont think it is out yet, but i am anticipating for it to come out...

How many people actually use it for off road use? Anyway, I wonder how MBRP worked around all the sensors so that the system does not blow up the engine or something. I'd really like to hear an 08 with a full turbo back kit on it.

yah i know, right.... like i said i think their just saying that to protect themselves if any legal issues were to come up. yah i want to hear this exhaust on a 08 also... i bet not only will it sound sick but theres probably some pretty big noticeable gains (power wise) also considering the exhaust system will now be opened up and less restricted.... im also wondering how mbrp is working around the sensors and if this exhaust is going to affect what happens when it goes into regen, how do you think there going to work around this or what do you think is going to happen???!!
