I'm getting $300 from insurance for a cat back replacement. What is a good one to get for my 2000 4.0 Xtra Cab 4WD?
I think I heard Magnaflow sounded better than Flowmaster. I don't want the farty pimped car sound, just something with better airflow and a nice tone.
I'd say get a muffler shop to design one of your style, it will come out cheaper than buying a sytem normally if you shop around.
I'm a big fan of Classic Chambered exhausts (www.classicchambered.com), I run one of their mufflers on my truck and am very happy with it.
Flowmaster and Magnaflow both are pretty loud and have a nice growl, but both drone at certain RPMs, so take that into consideration no matter what you choose.
No I wish I could say I did. I've tried to record it several times and it always comes out pretty crappy. I need to figure out why and fix it. Perhaps I just need a better sound recorder. I'll see if I have a friend with one that I can use to record it for you guys.
Ahhh ok well I'll make a solid effort as soon as possible. Grandfather passed away on Saturday, so lots of things going on at the moment. Once I get the chance I'll be sure to grab you guys a clip.
