Anybody planning on going to the Lawrence swap meet on the 5th and 6th? This is the big one that I always hear about AFTER it happens, but this year I've gotten ahead of it (thanks to some of you ) and I'm going to be there on Saturday. I was just curious if anybody else would be there, I'd keep my eye out for them.
Oh2-
It's not much of a ride for me to get there. The wife and I will probably go as soon as I get off of work Saturday morning. It wouldn't be right if we drove anything other than Blue, so if you see him, then I'll be floating around there somewheres.
Heheh...well that's the fun of it all. If I actually find something that I want for my truck I'll flip my lid. Last year's swap meets (that I made it to) didn't yield any good results so far as parts for my truck. I just had fun looking at all the knick knack crap (for lack of a better word). Bought an old oil can and a model T ad to add to the "Route 66" family room decor--but that was it.
This meet's supposed to be pretty big, so maybe I'll find something good.
Yep they have lots of stuff there. I have a friend that's into signs and gas pumps. He normally has a booth set up. I got lucky at the KC swapmeet. Stumbled upon a GT intake I was looking for. Had the TB and came with a box load of crap for $30. Most of the guys on the Stang boards want over $100 just for the intake alone. Maybe I'll get lucky and find that HO motor I've been wanting at the Lawrence meet.
Swap meets are fun even if you don't buy anything more than the over priced hot dogs for lunch. I usually find something that I have to take home even if I only spend a few bucks. It is great fun just to look at all the stuff and haggle on the prices.

Yeah, that's all we did last year at the couple small meets we made it to late in the season. Didn't find anything that I wanted for any of our rides, but some trinkets, and we had a good time (which is what really counts).
hey guys, would someone be willing to pick me up a bellhousing if they sell reasonably cheap? i need one for a 351m / 400m to fix our broken truck. whats a reasonable price?
