Unlocking the Code
In need of an expert!
What I think I have is a trans from the 60’s.
Looks to be a C4 but it has an aluminum bell housing and tail shaft. The case is metal!
The ford number on this is D2AP7006AB farther down is S5 or could be 85.
The numbers on the other side read 2L30 farther down 35. No tag on trans!
Is this trans worth putting in my falcon? Or is this to heavy and cant get parts?

Aluminum bell and tail housing with cast iron case might be an FMX.
What shape is the pan and how many bolts?
What pattern is the bell?
If it's an FMX I would look for something else for the Falcon...what motor and what type of driving?
