I havea 93 XLT... and I always here people talk about quad shocks in the front... am I missing something? mine doesn't have them... I have only single shocks, and I don't even have a space to add... has the front been rebuilt, what this an option.. what goign on with my truck?
I guess if was supposed to be this way... is it better to add the second shock on each side.... do they make conversions?

The HD suspension was an option and came with the trailer towing package. You can convert it to a quad setup if you think you need it. If you don't use the truck offroad much, I'd skip it. Offroad is where quads really shine otherwise it is not necessary.
Thats good to know... I was starting to feel left out! IS the conversion expensive and/or difficult... I don't off-road alot, but I would definaly love the extra protection.. I do tend to jump over things
Any idea who makes a kit?

i'm pretty sure Rancho makes a kit for quad shock set-ups, you would have to drill some holes in the frame though so watch out for brake and fuel lines.

I have the quad shocks on my 90 XLT, but I always thought all Broncos had them. I guess I have the heavy duty suspension then. What else came with the heavy duty package?
Auxiliary trans cooler in front of the radiator. I also have a power steering cooler, a steel line that runs along the front of one of the traction beams and loops back. Also have a engine oil cooler, this is on a 351W, it fits between the oil filter and where the oil filter would mount on the block. Has water from lower radaitor hose plumbed over to it and back. Real expensive looking lower radiator hose with that fitting and cooler hoses all molded together like that!
On 90/91 Broncos, Heavy duty service package includes rear stabilizer bar, quad front and heavy duty rear shocks, HD battery(84 amp hr),and super engine cooling.
Trailer towing includes the above and trailer wiring harness, and HD flasher. That's straight out of the Ford book.
