Hello Kansas
Hello all, just wanted to come on and say hello. My family and I just PCSed to Fort Riley; we are coming from Colorado and it's taking bit to get used to the wind. Other than that, we are liking it here more and more. If you look at my signature, I own an '05 F250 Lariat and just gone doing a round of mods, the only thing I have left to do is get my bushwackers installed (today) and then I'll have some new pics. Again, just wanted to stop in and say hello.

Welcome. Throw a log or two on the fire and set and visit for a while. Don't cost nothin to post. Hope you can make a gtg or a dozen. There is a great bunch of folks on this board.
Wind is fun. Way fun on an elevated road way in a short wheel base vehicle with a locker in the back and a twisting road. More fun than a class E ride at an amusment park. Yeeee Haaaa.

Welcome hope to see you around. My sister is moving to Wamego, so I'll be there once in awhile... Fordborn (Rollie) lives in alma.... his phone number is "6"... J/K Rollie. Husker lives in Manhattan too. A bunch of us go to tuttle the 3rd weekend of every month, you are welcome to attend, any time. Some of the rocks are a bit rough to climb over in a 4 wheeler. If you like I can PM you with a 4x4 club- and website, that allot of us belong too. this is a great group and I hope to see you at a g2g or 2!

First of all, thanks for the warm welcome. I spoke with my wife tonight and she thinks the GTGs are an awesome idea too (always makes it easier ) so hopefully I can make them often.
That would be awesome!
Do you think my Superduty will be too big or are you talking about the ATV section of Tuttle? Thanks in advance.
David.

My web page has some good pic's and maps of the Tuttle Creek OHV area near Randolph. It is at: www.mappyjack.com
I would take your ATV's. You can try your truck if you like in the flats. But as I said thats a pretty small part of the area. AtV's can usually find a place between the rocks. But expect damage to wheels.

Welcome to Kansas! Nothin different here than in eastern Colorado. Flat, windy, and if you look hard enough you can see the back of your head off on the horizon! (at least out in Western KS) These guys are great, and probably the most active chapter on FTE. I regret to only having made it to one g2g since I became aware of this group of fellas. They sure do have a good time when they get together.
Hope to see you around! --James

Welcome David. Glad to have you here in Kansas. I have a Super Duty too and tried it off road a couple of times. I wouldn't recommend that unless you like broken stuff and tree branch pin stripes down the side. That's why I drive an old Bronco off road. My daughter lives in Wamego with kids and hubby. You have kids? Her's are pre school age.
The wife manages the optical shop at the PX on the fort. Stop in and say hi to her when you are out there. If we can help here with anything let us know and I look forward to meeting you at a gtg.

Husker, sorry I haven't replied back, I have been at a Field Exercise for the past four days. Yes I have 2 kids, a 4 yr old and newborn. I certainlydont want any new pinstripes on my SD, so I may just take the wheelers; but I know Iwont be able to resist it at least once. Thanks for the tip.
