Turn me up
I brought a 96 ford f250 with a 7.3 tubo diesel with 186,000 and I was wondering what to do to it to crank a little power out of it cheaply. $500
Has straight exhaust
Cold air filter
other wise stock
Any comment welcome, I am new to diesel performance. ANY POINTERS?

well you can buy a chip for $500 but you also need at the very least a pyrometer ($130 or so) So if you got a 2 or 3 position chip from Dp-tuner or tony wildman you would be right around $500.
Does the exhuast include a round down pipe(turbo outlet pipe)? if so your good to go if not that really should replaced too before you install a chip.

Try these websites for fpr & BB also try the 10K mod. You still need a pyrometer if you do more than this also make sure you have an aftermarket down pipe before you do the 10K

Steve, Steve you missed th part about the $500 budget didn't you! man we are very good at spending other peoples money. I just wish they would just give it to me to spend as I please! They never want to do that.
any way yes the 10k mod and shimmed fpr are good cheap mods that require no more than $5 and an hour tops.
