Upgraded IDM

Well guys, I've got the opportunity to upgrade to a superduty IDM. I just want to know what the benifits of it are. I know the voltage is upped, and that helps the injectors. But how?

I think the super dutys go up to 120 and the modded ones are 140. Mine says 100 on it and I think it would be a good mod for our trucks.

I didn't do the mod and this truck came with the superduty IDM already installed. I did drive my 95 with a superduty IDM installed for a bit to test the IDM (that was a nightmare! but a story for another day!) and it did seem to have a bit more pep and throttle response. so up that voltage yet another 20 volts and it would be noticeable I am sure.

I got the modded one from beans, and a 6 pos chip. Before i installed the chip i changed out the idm, and it had the throttle response of a race car. It was pretty amazing to me. I didnt test drive , just reved a little, i couldnt wait any longer on installing the chip. With them both on now, my truck hauls a@@. It is soo much better. I couldnt believe the difference even at the lower setttings. Even in the stock settting it revs faster and reacts sooner to the throttle.

Good luck!

I'm not gonna mod one, I'm just going to swap it out for a SD IDM.

Well, I put the SD IDM on today. But to be honest, from my friends house to my house, I couldn't stop spraying the nitrous long enough to feel the difference. It was one of those days where you just want to lay the ears back and blow coal. I'll let yall know in a day or so.
