left side air manifold tube has 4 threaded fittings just above the plugs.
the fittings slide up and down and at the end of the 4 tubes is a pointed fitted end piece. one of those ends is split and leaks exhaust. can i buy just that end? has anyone just removed the tub, plugged the holes and removed the air pump assembly? we don't check emissions over 25 years in texas, will removing the pump make the engine run worse or better?
Ford makes a special tapered threaded plug to block off the thermactor emission holes in the cylinder heads, on all 6 and V8 engines from 1966. These are available from Ford.

called the dealer and gave them the number, unable to locate part. CACA DEL TORO ~ THEY LIED! ~ FRIGGIN SCHEISSKOPFS!!
C6AZ-6052-A is still a good part number and they are still available from Ford. The current list price is $4.76 each. I find it rather difficult that a part can't be located, yet they are still available.
Contact FTE Sponsor y2kfordparts They can assist you, and you will get a discount off the $4.76 list price. They show the parts on their parts locater webpage.

I could not figure that out at my local autozone a few years back when I took the same challenge of getting rid of the emissions on my 76 360. I had to leave the tubes and cap off the end that the tube ran to from the pump, which I also removed. One less pulley to drag the motor down so that was good. I will look for those plugs at napa though because I hate the tubes still being there. Seems like it would be a place were gases could just get trapped and circulate. Doesnt seem like that would benefit anything.
they should work just fine - same measurements you sent, thanks for your help. the guys at the dealer found 2 replacement ends for the tube at $90.00 each, ouch. the guy that seemed to know said the plug and pump removal will work fine and thats what he would do,
