So I jumped the solenoid just like you all told me to do. Put a screwdriver from the ignition to the positive side and walla....started and then stopped. It has been sitting for a little while. So I did it about 3 more times and it came back to life. I thought all my grounds where good still. I was only doing a lift and then a little bit of paint...with grounds attatched. Anyway, it starts from inside the truck now and here was the catch....you are going to laugh and probably call me retarded. I got in the cab after starting it from the solenoid and pushed the gas....back tires went in reverse...good clue that the truck doesn't start in reverse, only in park. My extention arm was not extended to park all the way. I guess that is what i get for messing with the shifter from underneath the truck. Loosened it tightened it back with the shifter all the way in park and blame...done. All is well, now for some radiator fluid and transmission fluid, and about $10 dollars gas. She should pur right on down the road. Waiting on my engine rebuild,a nd just rebuilt the front end, with my lift complete now I can ride high, thanks for all the input guys. Amazing to find the littlest thing will ruin everything. Thanks again.
Yeah...thats ok with me. Just a good laugh at my expense. There will be some time when somone laughs about what you might have messed up out of not knowing just for spite. I'm not mad at you, in fact I'm laughing at myself. Thanks for the supporting laughs!!!
cool then we're laughing with you. Actually when i did the motor swap in my truck and finally took her out for a drive I was having a hard time steering her. She was really hard to turn. So I thought something was binding up, checked for pinched power steering lines and everything looked good. So I kept driving her thinking maybe after sitting for so long the problem would work itself out. Went to my buddies place one night and we were talking about the problem and his question to me as "did you put any power steering fluid in her?" Doh guess what I forgot to do!!
Now that is pretty funny too. So now that you've told me that I don't feel so dumb. I am still haveing a problem with that damn horn. The factory one works when hooked up, but the compressor for the air horn does nothing. I guess I need a wiring kit and must use the relay with the kit, and cut some horn wires. Confused about what to do before I start cutting anything. I need step by step instructions, but everything now adays is just crap. ya know!
