anyone know of a source I can get headliner material. I need to replace mine in my 86 crew cab and definitely don't want any seams. Mine is blue and was wanting to go back with original color if possible. Has anyone done this in a crew cab?? any suggestions or tips anyone can give me is appreciated. One more question In the corners there are creases that form a 45 degree angle and then go back down to the edge in the corners how do I replicate this or will it just conform to that crease and look the same after the fact. thanks as always for your help. Scott
Fabric stores aren't gonna have headliner material...no way.
You go to an upholstery supply shop....that's where the installers buy the same stuff and adhesive.
It isn't just fabric, it's fabric bonded to foam. That crease will form on its own.
Be careful after you have sprayed the adhesive and applied the material to it when you are handling it. Too much pressure with your fingers will show up later.
Get The best grade spray-on adhesive for the headliner available at an automotive paint and body supply house. The lesser grades don't hold well and down it comes in a year or two.

i used 3M spray adhesive and used a thin headliner fabric that was stretchy and redid the one in my old trans am i had in black, it came out better then stock and had no creases or seams... got plenty of compliments. i have to figure out something for my truck now being as it doesn't have anythinga nd it used to.
I would go with the upholstery shop if you look at my galley you will see my head liner i did my self i try the other way and it lasted 6months and was not as good ,,the shop only charged me 30 for fabric ... i used a round grinderbrush to get old off form before apply the new..
ok... how the heck do you get the center dome light out.. i want to do my headliner as well...
remove the cover then the bulb there should be 2 screws so you can remove the light fixture. Go and get a Chiltons repair manual and a Haynes they both will help and have different information.
