Headliner template 78-79 F Series
Does anyone have the dimensions for the headliner for a 79 F-100 custom? It should be the same for all F series between 1978 and 1979 (maybe more).
It's not that I don't want to part with $80 bucks and the over sized shipping but I have access to plenty of material to make a headliner. If no one comes up with one then I'll make a pattern the old fashioned way and post it later.
Thanks in advance,
Scott

Can you not just go to a local JY and get a pattern from one out of any 73-79? An X by X measurement will get you in the ball park.
But what about laying out the trim and use the outer edge of it as a trace pattern on what ever material you are using?

It's wider than 48 inches so you'll need a sheet at least 60 inches long of whatever material you choose just to get the width correct. Material? At least 1/8-inch thick pressboard, paneling (like bath tub surrounds), ABS plastic, or commercial kitchen backer board. I'm sure others will chime in with other options....
I've thought about installing an overhead console just to reduce the amount of material needed.

Thanks for the links - I had already looked at those. I was hoping someone kept the dimensions (including the cuts, notches). I guess I was really trying to be lazy.
My truck only had a piece of the headliner left and none of the yards around Tampa, FL have any Ford trucks left. I guess I'm making a template this week. Thanks, Scott
