Hope someone can answer this for me. I am looking at buying a "almost new" Diablosport Predator tuner U7165 from someone on E-bay. He has a very good seller reputation, and he states he sold his 04 superduty, so he is selling the programmer. My question is, will there be any problem getting a used unit from someone else, and installing it in my truck. Wasn't sure about any restrictions on multiple vehicles, maybe something the manufacturer built in to prevent this. And I also need to check the latest revision, it is 8R14 I think? Just had my muffler deleted and straight piped from the cat back this morning. Love the new rumble from the tailpipe. I am only going to use the "economy" middle setting on the tuner to try for some extra MPG. Don't want to push the envelope. Thanks to all. Guy.
Phil is correct, the seller had to reload the stock program back into his vehicle before selling. Most of the people are pretty good about stuff like that. Just a few idiots make it bad for all. In one of the other forms some guy bought a used one and the seller kept the program in his vehicle. Therefore the Predator is loccked to that vehicle and the guy has to either return tuner to guy for refund or pay Diablo to reset for his vehicle
O.K. thanks guys. The seller told me he set the truck to stock before selling it, and he always carried the programmer in the truck in case he needed to set back to stock for a trip to the dealer. He seems very knowledgeable about his former truck and the tuner. I'm going to give it a try. Thanks again. Guy.
