Carb ID for a motorcraft 2100/2150?
My 1978 F150 extended cab has a 351m motor and a motorcraft carb on it. I don't know which one exactly. I thought they came stock with 2150's but my ID tag on the little aluminum tag says the following:
Top Line D8KE
Middle Line EA
Bottom Line B7K12
I want to get a rebuild kit for it and I was wondering what this carb was used in because I have a feeling its not original to the truck.
Or should I not rebuild this carb and just buy my friends Holley Projection kit for 500 bucks?

By '78 it would have been a 2150. When you go to get a rebuild kit, just give them those numbers off of the tag. Carburetor rebuild kits are always sold by the tag numbers, rather than the vehicle information. That's why when you go to get a carb kit, they never ask you anything about the vehicle it's for. They just want the tag.
