This is what I wish

I wish Ford couls use one of these ISC Cummins, better than the engine that dodge is using right now.
ISC 315 - 6 cylinder
315 hp
960 ft. lbs torque STOCK

Lower hp means better fuel economy, in my experience. The amount of torque in proportion to hp shows hows efficient these engines are..............

Throw a manual tranny behind this and keep on smiling...................

probably wouldn't work very good with an auto.............

just throwing this out to see if anyone else would buy a ford truck with this engine, even if the only way it came was manual tranny.............

The ISC works good backed my an alison transmision but is WAY to big to install any of fords f-250,350,450 and 550. Big torque means big transmision. 960lbs torque will snap our dinky little input shafts from Ford's perspective.

A BTS auto might hold it! I would drive one. The cummins is a great engine too bad it graces a junk truck! always has been and always will be a junk truck

This place uses the older cummins to swap into fords. http://www.fordcummins.com/1980-97.htm

mmmm 6-cyl cummins diesel power! I don't know anything about the ISC size comparison. I do know about dodge and their "neat" things. Picaso.

I am seriously considering a 12valve swap. I love the powerstroke but having having a cummins on hand and no-where to gooo........ Why not the 97? I have looked at destroked conversions on beans and the plate to adapt the cummins to the zf5 is aroud $800. Does anybody know of somone that has done this or did it themselves? I honestley think the swap is sweet but that's my opinion and you know what they say................
