1. update your profile and put in your location - city & state would be enough (that way locals will know they are locals for you!)
2. once you are eligible, add a signature to your profile - I think you have to have 25 posts maybe..?? but in your signature if you put that you have an early-99 PSD & details (crew, 4X4, auto or stick, mods, etc.) then the people here will be able to help troubleshoot, offer advice, and generally offer more specific help from you
otherwise, in every post where you ask a question, you'll get asked: what year? 4x4? mods? mileage? gets a little redundant
and you are 100% right - this forum is incredible with the user community we have here... you can't beat it - you might want to become a supporter as well - i'll be the cheapest & best investment in your truck
Yeah I already have all that info on my profile and I will get that sig on when I can. For now it is an early 99 f250 PSD 4x4 ext. cab. 122,500 miles. everything stock.
thanks again all
Joe
just curious is it better to buy a higher pressure hpp or the stage 1 injectors first or the need one another to really help out...and where are you guys finding better injectors the ones i saw were 2500 bucks plus a core charge of 1600...not worried about spending the money but wondering if this is reasonable price or not..for a friggin 75 horse gain...
Wow, guess I did put this in the wrong place. My bad. Had a little trouble finding it this morniing but I managed. Guess I will find out tomorrow if they really will do this for $800.
My question is for that much is there a better way to go. Maybe a better Pump for around the same price. I have no idea how much after market pumps cost.
Let me know
thanks.

I am not the resident guru on this but from what I think I know, performance or big oil pumps will start out at well over double that price and go up from there.
Is your pump really failing or is it just leaking? Has it been tested, or is it running poorly now?
Might want to have a look at mech's mustang numbers thread to see what the stock hpop is capable of.

I know what gasket you are talking about its like 12 dollars from the dealer I have a 02 and mine was leaking its a rubber o ring type gasket with a screen in it. I couldnt see any problems with the one I pulled out but i replaced it and put a little semi drying liquid gasket sealer around it and it hasnt leaked since.
Caverjoe- I don't know how mechanically inclined you are, but from what I know, the HPOP can be a PITA, but it's not as bad as half the stuff on these trucks. You might want to give it a shot yourself. If it works out fine, you'll be ahead a good bunch and your better half (if your hitched) will appreciate the savings and your manliness hehe...
