I appreciate the help. I'll have to drive 15-20 miles if I'm lucky to get the part so I want to be able to call and ask if they have one. I have a set that goes up to T-50 and its bigger than that.
Okay, just checked .. for the front two on the rear seat . .it's a T55 .. for the back two it's a hex nut - 18mm .. behind the seat, there are 4 more bolts for seat belts that are also T55 .. on each side, inside the back door, those should be a T50 .. hope that helps ..
I found mine at good old sears. I put 2 layers of dynamat over all the doors & floors of my excursion. Really does help, but it's kind of scary to stare at a bare metal interior and wonder if you'll ever get it all back in again...!
One thing I found; I think the mat I put on the doors actually diminished more ambient road noise than the stuff I put on the floor. Just my experience.
Turns out my daughters boyfriend had a 55 so maybe he's not so worthless after all.
I've read the same thing about the doors in other posts, but I have the carpet delete option on my XLT so I'm hoping for an improvement there too. Since I plan on doing the doors and floor this weekend I guess I'll never know which one helps the most.
I replaced the mid. bench seat in my '01 X with captains chairs. I had to use a 50 for the bench mounts as well as the seat belts. It was sloppy, but the 55 wasn't even close. It was almost like it was an "in-between" size. Any thoughts?
A 55 worked on mine for the seats, and a 50 for the seat belt. It was a little loose but the 60 was too big. I was wondering if it was like a SAE vs. Metric thing, just another set of tools to buy.
