there are 2 hold down bolts. the top one need to be removed and the bottom one can stay right where it is. its shouldered and doesn't need to be removed. Oh yeah you need to remove the oil spout first before you can get to the top bolt. it is held down by a allen head or tork's drive. get the spout out of the way then remove the top bolt then you can slide the collar around the injector down to clear the lower bolt. then use a lady slipper (looks like a leg with a foot at the bottom) or regular pry bar and poop the injector up with a little bit of force. only pry on the collar though and keep you other hand over the injector so it doesn't go flying. then you should be good for th rest of them!

well you got too mcuh oil left in the cylinder. how hard did it hit when it stopped?best thing to do would be to pull the VC's off and then pull all the glow plugs and crank it over a few times. reinstall the glow plugs then see if it will turn over. Been there done that! it doesn't take much fluid int he cylinder to stop it from turning!

ok, popped the back two gps of of each bank and cranked her a few times. also opened the fill plug on the hpop resevoir to let some air out there. got in, cranked it over after reinstalling everything and she fired right over! suprisingly enough, idle was very smooth from the get go. alot of power now. alot of fun! one last question....i ordered the stage one single shots. i pulled AA injectors out (assumedly stock) and the reman stage ones i put back in said AD on them?!?! it sounds much like our 2000 f450 rescue truck at the firehouse. could it be possible i got split shots? if so, any difference in horsepower/torque gains? ive noticed no problems in how the engines running with them, just a really cool idle sound! thank you again tj for all of your help!

Well AD injector are split shot superduty injectors. IT most likely that the elctric soleniod magnets on the top are just from the AD's and the rest of the injector is what you ordered but I would call the place who you bought hem from to verify. If they were rebuilt rahter than brand new injector its probably just the AD magnets.
It is interesting that the idle seems different but who knows. I have AD's in my truck and it does idle quieter and has more power but hopefully you have stage one single shots after all that work!
